Holy hell. I was expecting to like this album. I was not expecting to be GRIPPED, spellbound, and spine-chilled by this unrelenting charge of astonishing, vibrant, robust, and sparkling melodies that held me in its thrall through the final seconds. At many turns, I glanced at the remaining time in a song to eagerly hope that there was still far more in store. A swirling wonderland of chilling folk melody and incendiary black metal. I have not headbanged so hard in a long while.
Favorite track: The Murky Deep.
